The Onondaga County District Attorney has given a first glimpse into the investigation Syracuse University did in 2005 related to Bobby Davis' accusations of molestation against Bernie Fine.
The report, done by the Syracuse lawfim Bond Schoeneck & King, has not been made public, but was turned over to prosecutors recently.
Onondaga County DA Bill Fitzpatrick has told the New York Times that there is nothing in the report to indicate that any of the lawyers involved in the inquiry had "an expertise in investigating sexual abuse."
In the days since Syracuse University fired associate basketball coach Bernie Fine amid the accusations of three men who claim they were abused by Fine, much attention has been focused on how the SU investigation was conducted.
There are questions about how the university investigation failed to reveal Fine's chief accuser, Bobby Davis. Bobby Davis created an audio tape in which Fine's wife seems to corroborate his claims of abuse.
Fitzpatrick told The Times, "I find it unusual that the kid didn't make it available. I didn't see anything in the report indicating he was asked."
