SYRACUSE (AP) -- Authorities say a pair of drug rings that sold cocaine in central New York have been broken up with 38 arrests and the seizure of $200,000 worth of the drug.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Thursday the cocaine was being brought from Georgia through New York City to Syracuse and Auburn for sale throughout the region.
The arrests follow similar crackdowns earlier this year in Buffalo, Rochester and the Capital Region.
They came after a yearlong investigation involving state and local police using surveillance and wiretaps.
Most of the people arrested are from Syracuse and Auburn. They face a variety of conspiracy and drug sale and possession charges.
