UTICA -- An Oneida County man is under arrest after police say he had sex with an underage girl.

According to State Police, on Thursday an investigator assigned to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, arrested 24-year-old Jose Sanchez of Lansing Street in Utica and charged him with second degree rape, a class D felony. Sanchez is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl in Utica in November of 2010.

Sanchez was arraigned in Utica City Court and was committed to the Oneida County Jail on undisclosed bail.

Troopers say the alleged victim is receiving services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
