MINETTO, OSWEGO CO. -- A traffic stop in Minetto leads to a burglary arrest.

It happened Tuesday on State Route 48. State police spotted a car with an expired inspection sticker and pulled over the driver, 28-year-old Thomas Simmons, of 216 South 2nd Street. Police learned the driver had a suspended license. He was taken into custody and his car was inspected before it headed to the impound lot.

Police say they found a large amount of copper tubing and bolt cutters in the car that were stolen from a construction storage trailer at the Wal-Mart.

Simmons is charged with burglary, operating an uninspected motor vehicle and aggravated unlicensed operation. He was sent to the Oswego County Jail.
