ONEIDA CO. -- An Oneida County corrections officer is accused of giving inmates prohibited items at the Oneida County Jail.

31-year-old Francis Pardi is charged with two misdemeanor counts of promoting prison contraband. He was fired from his job on Tuesday.

Sheriff's Office Administrators received tips and an internal investigation led to Pardi's arrest. He was issued tickets to appear in Whitestown Town Court later this month.

Deputies say additional arrests are expected in the case, including two inmates who would have received the alleged contraband on two occasions in December.
