WEST MONROE, OSWEGO CO. -- A traffic stop in West Monroe leads to the discovery of heroin and the arrest of two people from Brewerton.

24-year-old Ashley Lowe and 23-year-old Anthony Belge, both of 9648 US Rt. 11, are facing drug charges.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say Belge was driving a car in the Town of West Monroe around 2:20 p.m. Monday when he was pulled over for an expired inspection certificate. When deputies approached the car, they say Lowe had two baggies of heroin on her.

Lowe is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Belge is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle without inspection certificate.

Both were issued appearance tickets and are due back in court on February 13.
