SULLIVAN -- An East Syracuse man is charged with driving drunk and crashing his car in the Town of Sullivan.

State police say 54-year-old William Ryfun, of Dausman Street, was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck on Bridgeport-Kirkville Road around 6 p.m. Tuesday. They say he stopped at a stop sign and flashing red light at the intersection of Fyler Road, then drove through the intersection, failing to yield the right of way to another car. That driver, 26-year-old Alicia Wolf, of Chittenango, was treated at the scene for hand pain and later taken to Crouse Hospital.

Police say Ryfun's blood alcohol content was .11 percent. He was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08 percent or more, failure to yield the right of way and consumption of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle.

Ryfun is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sullivan Court on January 24.
