SYRACUSE -- If you're planning to fly out of Hancock Airport over the next few days, you're not alone. The airport is expected to be packed with travelers as Winter Break gets underway.
Airport officials want to remind travelers to check the status of their flight prior to leaving for the airport, arrive at least an hour and a half before your scheduled departure time and give yourself enough time to park, check-in and go through security.
Passengers who are flying on Delta, Continental or United Airlines need to know that those airlines have been temporarily relocated to the baggage claim area in Terminal B, while construction continues on the Passenger Terminal Security and Access Improvement Project.
The Department of Aviation has made available additional parking facilities should the Airport experience a need for overflow parking.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is reminding travelers to be prepared when going through security. Make sure you have a valid form of ID, remove shoes, coats, and other metal object like keys, coins, jewelry, etc. and have laptops and the "3-1-1" bag out and placed in the screening bins.
