Syracuse photographer arraigned on sexual assault charges, caught in Hawaii

SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse area photographer was arraigned on sexual assault charges this morning.
50-year-old Brantley Carroll appeared before a judge in Onondaga County Court.
He is charged with rape, criminal sex act, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. Carroll pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He is being held at the Justice Center and is scheduled to be back in court on March 16.
According to a newspaper in Honolulu, Carroll was arrested in Hawaii on January 31 after living in Canada and China.
The Star Advertiser reports Carroll was receiving welfare benefits while hiding in Hawaii.
