80-year-old woman stuck by car in Oswego

OSWEGO -- Oswego City Police say an 80-year-old woman hit by a car has died.
Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of East Bridge and East Seventh Streets at 11:58a.m. Tuesday.
Police say 80-year-old Rosemary Beauchamp was struck by a vehicle when she tried to cross the road. Officers say Beauchamp started to cross at the same time the driver started to turn.
Police were on scene investigating and closed East Bridge Street (NYS Route 104) between East Sixth Street and East Eighth Street for about three hours. East Bridge Street was reopened at 3:20pm.
So far no tickets have been issued.
