GRANBY, OSWEGO CO. -- A man is accused of shooting at a Granby home, nearly hitting an 11-year-old who was sleeping at the time.

Eric Gardner is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.

State police say he fired five shots at the Granby home. No one was hurt.

Police later tracked down Gardner in a Town of DeWitt motel room, where he was taken into custody. Police say he was in room 103 at the Motel 6 at 6577 Baptist Way in East Syracuse.

Gardner is also charged with criminal possession of stolen property for allegedly possessing a handgun that was stolen from the Town of Hastings in 2009.

Gardner was arraigned in the Town of Dewitt and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond.

More charges are pending in Oswego County.

A woman who lives at the home with her fiance and five children tells the Palladium Times of Oswego that her 20-year-old stepdaughter is Gardner's ex-girlfriend.
