SYRACUSE -- The City of Syracuse is among good company.

Syracuse is listed, among the top 20 performing cities in post-recession America. The list was put out by Business Insider.

According to the website, Syracuse comes in 16th. The city's gross metro product is actually up nearly five percent, from the pre-recession peak.

Employment and home prices are down, but Syracuse avoided the initial housing bubble which helped keep the market steadier.

Austin, Texas comes in at number one.
