SCHENECTADY (AP) -- Authorities have charged a 64-year-old woman with scanning about $100,000 worth of lottery tickets at her upstate New York bar and not paying for them.

The Daily Gazette of Schenectady reports that Donna Walsh is expected to be arraigned this week on a grand larceny charge.

Prosecutors say Walsh ordered thousands of tickets electronically over a 45-day period last year, then running them through a scanner at her Schenectady bar, essentially scratching them electronically.

After the tickets were paid for after 45 days, state lottery officials started an investigation.

Prosecutors say they don't believe Walsh had any large winnings from the tickets.

Her lawyer says Walsh is expected to plead not guilty at her arraignment, which could occur as early as Monday.
