LYSANDER -- About 50 homes in the Town of Lysander were without running water throughout the night.

Water service on Hicks Road between Patchett and Cold Springs Roads was turned off around 11:00 p.m. Monday while crews fixed a leaking pipe near L. Pearl Palmer Elementary.

OCWA says service was restored a little more than an hour later. Director Michael Hooker reports that a leaking six-inch service pipe under the road to the school has been repaired and service to the school has also been restored.

OCWA says thanks to the residents in the affected area for their patience during the shutdown and repair.
