GreenHomes America of Syracuse has been awarded a $360,000 grant from NYSERDA to aid nine homeowners in Central New York with home energy upgrades as part of a pilot project.

The selected homes will be evaluated for energy usages and loss. Then, they will receive a Deep Energy Retrofit, which includes super-insulating exterior walls, adding new siding, new windows, high-efficiency heating, and high-efficiency heating and cooling systems.

GreenHomes America is in the selection process and is seeking applicants for this pilot project. To find out how you can apply, contact GreenHomes America at (315) 474-6549. All applications must be received by May 31, 2012.

GreenHomes America is the only contractor in the CNY area that has been selected to participate in the program. "It’s such an honor for all of us here at GreenHomes America to have been selected to participate in this pilot project," said General Manager John Scipione.
