SYRACUSE -- Hundreds of people at the Sunny Crest Manor apartments in Syracuse are breathing a sigh of relief today. Their utility service will not be shut off on Sunday after all.

Last week CNY Central reported that National Grid had notified the residents of the apartment complex across from Henninger High School that gas and electricity would be shut off on May 6th. The notices said the owner had not paid its utility bills.

Today a National Grid spokesperson says the utility and the owner of Sunny Crest Manor "were able to reach a positive resolution." Virginia Limmiatis added that the termination of service is "no longer in effect at this time."

Sunny Crest Manor is owned by a downstate limited liability corporation and is managed by Sarah Ross of Syracuse.
