Recognizing that the face of dementia has changed dramatically in the past decade, the Central New York Alzheimer's Association is doing its first Caregiving Conference.   Cathy James, CEO of the local organization, says there are more people in their 40s and 50s being diagnosed.  Over 65s see one in 8 with the disease, and 85s and over, the odds go up to one in two--fifty percent.

The Caregiving Conference is aimed at families of patients, to update on information and to offer support services.  It is Wednesday, May 9th and  runs all day--8:30am - 4:30pm--at the Hilton DoubleTree.   More information is available at 472-4201  or www.org/cny
