Public concerns prompt State Police statement
There's been so much talk in Pulaski about the State Police closing their station there, that troopers have put out an official statement denying it. The Village of Pulaski has a meeting Monday evening, as it looks at budgets and the future of its local police operation. That meeting is at 6:45pm, at the Snow Memorial Building.
Here it the complete State Police statement:
- The New York State Police have received numerous calls from the public regarding several media agencies reporting the closing of the Pulaski Barracks. The State Police barracks in Pulaski will NOT be closing.
The Village of Pulaski Police Department is evaluating their Village Police Department. Any questions regarding the Village Police should contact the Village Mayor or Police Chief at 315-298-7525.
State Police in Pulaski will continue to serve Pulaski and the surrounding areas.
