SYRACUSE -- A level three sex offender has received his sentence after admitting he lured a nine-year-old girl out of her Syracuse home last summer.

Thomas Lee Baker of Syracuse was sentenced to 15 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision Monday morning in Onondaga County Court.

Baker pleaded guilty in April to kidnapping the nine-year-old daughter of a family acquaintance by luring her out of her bedroom window on Syracuse’s south side last June.

Baker first denied knowing where the girl was, but police found her inside his home on Edgewood Avenue in Syracuse, near Corcoran High School.

Legally, Baker has been down this road before; he was convicted of sexually abusing a 20-year-old woman back in 1991. He spent time in prison for that offense.
