June 15 is deadline to apply
Syracuse's South Side Innovation Center is starting a summer program aimed at getting high schoolers interested in being entrepreneurs.
Margaret Butler, who is coordinating the Student Entrepreneurial Experience (SEE) says the week long course, July 23 - 27, will offer about two dozen students a chance to learn how to market and finance a business plan. Butler says it's aimed at high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are already thinking about starting their own businesses and being self-employed, and also aimed at keeping future business generators here in Central New York.
Applications are due June 15th. Tuition is $600, but there is scholarship help available, with the application.
