ENDICOTT (AP) -- Authorities say a 19-month-old girl has died after falling from a window at her family's third-story apartment near Binghamton.

Police in the village of Endicott tell local media outlets that Brianna Billet fell from the window late Monday morning. Officials say she was unresponsive when she was found on the sidewalk.

The girl was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where she died around 6:00 p.m. Monday.

The police investigation continues.
