BOLTON LANDING -- The New York State Broadcasters Association awarded WSTM NBC 3 for the "Outstanding Locally Originated Newscast" Monday night at a pretigious industry gala dinner at The Sagamore Hotel on Lake George.   CNYCentral Vice-President of News Rae Fulkerson accepted the award on behalf of the news team that contributed to the award winning program.

The entry was titled "Major Flood and Homicide Arrest".  It aired at 5:00 pm on NBC 3 in the fall of 2011.   The same broadcast was honored earlier this spring by the Syracuse Press Club for "Best Newscast".  The 5:00 pm broadcast was produced by Kristy Smorol and anchored by Matt Mulcahy and Jackie Robinson.

From the awards dinner Rae Fulkerson Tweeted, "Congratulations to everyone at CNYCentral! So proud!"    Other CNY broadcasters were also honored at tonight's dinner.
