SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse man is under arrest after police say he stabbed another man over the weekend.

According to Syracuse police, around 6:50 Sunday evening police responded to a report of a stabbing on the 100 block of Kenmore Avenue. There they arrested 62-year-old Henry McClain of Syracuse and charged him with second degree assault and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police say McClain stabbed 48-year-old Theodore Pringle in the side of his head, and was taken to Upstate University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

McClain is scheduled to be arraigned in Syracuse City Court on Monday. Police say they recovered the knife used in the alleged assault.
