Construction crews were out at dawn on Sunday, putting up the new pedestrian bridge over Hiawatha Boulevard, linking the Carousel expansion to parking lots.

A big crane helped move the metal sections of the bridge into place.  Hiawatha Boulevard had traffic detours to allow crews to work safely.

The finishing on the pedestrian bridge will take several more weeks, and they expect to the link from the mall expansion's second floor finished at the same time the mall is rebranded Destiny, in early August.
