Fulton man arrested on child sex abuse charges

FULTON -- A Fulton man was arrested Thursday for two separate of child sex abuse charges that allegedly happened in 2010 and 2011.

Police in Fulton say they arrested 52-year-old Clarence W. Loomis, of 138 Emery Street, for sexually abusing two minors in 2010 and 2011.

The first incident allegedly happened at Loomis’s home in 2010. He is alleged to have had sexual contact with a boy under the age of 14.

Police charged Loomis with criminal sex act, sex abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Town of Scriba Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to appear before Town of Volney Court on July 9.

The second incident allegedly happened at Loomis’s home in December 2011. He is alleged to have had sexual contact with a male under the age of 17.

Police charged Loomis with sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in the Town of Volney Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on July 30.
