OVID -- The Seneca County Sheriff’s Department says they arrested an Ovid man for unlawfully dealing with a child on Tuesday night.
Police say Joseph Knapp, of West Seneca Street, allegedly gave the child a large amount of alcohol, causing the child to become intoxicated.
The charge stems from a disorderly conduct investigation at Knapp’s home in the town of Ovid, where police say they found the minor. After searching his residence, police say Knapp had a large amount of alcohol in his home.
Knapp was released on an appearance ticket and is set to appear in the Town of Ovid Court on August 14.
