Three arrested after breaking into Tebb’s Head Shop in Syracuse

SYRACUSE --
Police arrested three people in connected to a burglary at a Syracuse smoke shop and an attempted burglary at another.
Police say they responded to a report of suspicious activity involving two men wearing black hats and bandanas over their faces in the 400 block of Avery Avenue around 12:28 a.m. The men reportedly left in a dark colored car.
Officers at the scene found that someone had attempted to break into the Tripp Hill Smoke Shop, at 509 Avery Ave.
Just before 1:30 a.m., police say they responded to the North Salina Street for a similar incident involving two men in hats and bandanas. A witness who saw the two men told police he heard glass breaking in the area and saw the men leave in a dark colored car.
Officers at the scene found that someone broke into Tebb’s Head Shop at 515 North Salina Street.
Police say that after they broadcast the description of the suspects and vehicle, an officer spotted and pulled over a vehicle matching the description at the intersection of Solar Street and Spencer Street.
Police arrested 18-year-old Kenneth Wilcox, of Syracuse, 26-year-old Tyler Cifra, of Syracuse, and 20-year-old Christopher Scott, of Camillus.
All three suspects were charged with attempted burglary, burglary, criminal mischief, petit larceny, conspiracy, and criminal possession of stolen property.
