SYRACUSE -- A water main break overnight left some customers in downtown Syracuse without water Tuesday morning.

The water main break happened on South Salina Street between Jefferson Street and Fayette Street.

Some area customers were without water service while crews work to repair the break.

Water was back on before noon while crews continued to repair the hole they dug to get to the break.
