The SU Football team, and SU Athletics as a whole, had Reggie Schwartzwalder in their minds on Sunday. The wife of legendary SU Football Head Coach Ben Schwartzwalder passed away on Saturday in Syracuse after complications from a fall last week. Director of Athletics Dr. Daryl Gross released a statement on Sunday.

"Reggie Schwartzwalder was an amazing woman and we are all saddened by her recent passing. She was always so positive and inspirational to our athletics program. She was a living legend to all of us and a constant example of class, integrity and dignity. Her legacy will remain forever in the athletics department and our hearts."

Schwartzwalder turned 100 this passed January, and many family and friends gathered in Syracuse to celebrate with her. She is survived by two daughters, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
