UNION SPRINGS --

The body of a missing boater was located in Union Springs after a three day search.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office says they located the body of Daniel Dymock, 35, in the waters of Cayuga Lake on Tuesday morning.

Dymock was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Deputies say Dymock and his 9-year-old son were fishing in a small boat Sunday morning when he fell into the water.

Dymock’s son was wearing a lifejacket and jumped in to help his father, but officials say he was unsuccessful. A woman boating nearby rescued the boy and called 911.
