OSWEGO -- On the 11th anniversary of 9/11 the Oswego community will honor a hero. Funeral arrangements for Army Specialist Kyle Rookey have been announced. 

The funeral procession will proceed from the Oswego County Airport to Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home on Tuesday evening at 7:15 p.m.

Anyone who wants to view the procession is being asked to meet in the lot north of Tim Horton's on East 1st Street by 7:30 p.m.

The family is requesting privacy in front of the funeral home.

Public calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

The Department of Defense says Rookey died September 2 in Jalalabad, Afghanistan in a non-combat related incident.
