The Salvation Army formally  opened its  newest Family Store in Syracuse's northern suburbs on Saturday morning.  The store is larger than many already in operation in the are, in a former Burdick car dealership on Brewerton Road in Cicero.  It will sell clothes as well as 'gently used' household items and furniture.

The new store is in response to increased demand for lower priced everyday needs.Saturday's opening, with the store doing business until 9pm, was set to include hourly prize drawings for visitors.
