ONEIDA COUNTY -- An Oneida County volunteer assistant football coach is accused of rape.

State Police arrested Fritz Barrett, 24, Wednesday.

Barrett is an assistant volunteer football coach for the Mount Markham Varsity team.

He was arraigned in the Town of Bridgewater Court, on charges of second degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police are not revealing any information about the alleged victim, or whether there is any connection to the school.
