Central New York high school football began the second half of the season Friday night, with many teams solidifying their spots in sectional playoffs.
Fayetteville Manlius welcomed RFA, in an effort to avenge last week's loss. The home fans liked what they saw right out of the gate, as F-M charged out to an early 28 nothing lead. RFA would muster just one touchdown, as FM dominated, winning 50-7.
Baldwinsville's Tyler Rouse came into Friday's matchup with Auburn as the only running back in Section III with over one thousand yards, in less than half of a season. He proved his worth, rushing for 351 yards and five touchdowns in Baldwinsville's 56-12 dominating victory.
In what was one of the most exciting games of the night, Utica Proctor visited Liverpool, where there was no shortage of offense. Liverpool's 28-25 lead did not last long at the start of the second half, as Proctor's Lawrence Elliot took the opening second half kickoff down to the Warrior's 5 yard line, and punched it in himself to give Proctor a 3 point lead. Liverpool pleased the home crowd though, battling all night, forcing turnovers and eventually winning the shootout, 56-45.
