SYRACUSE -- A clinic opened to treat patients dealing with mental health and substance use disorders in one place.
The Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Clinic at Learbury Centre celebrated its grand opening Thursday.
The modern medical suites have an observation room for supervisors, collaborative counselor client workspaces, and a room, where children cain wait for their parents to undergo treatment.
Doctors say it will help serve as a one-stop-shop to treat as many as 400 patients a week.
"It's a dream come true for treatment services, I think that we've already seen that it's improved the quality of what we can provide for the community, especially with opening the mental health clinic," says Kathi Meadows.
Last year, the agency helped more than 57-hundred people on their road to recovery.
It also offers a 24-hour helpline: 315-471-0568.
