CLAY -- The Clay man who was accused of killing his father with a butcher knife plead guilty Thursday to first degree manslaughter in state supreme court.

Herman Tolbert Jr. stabbed his 68-year-old father, Herman, to death August 4, 2011 after an argument at a house on Moses Dr.

Investigators say Tolbert Jr. forced his way into the home while his mother was away.

Tolbert testified that he was under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs at the time of the murder.

His sentencing is set for December 4^.
