SCHOHARIE -- Residents of upstate New York communities still recovering from last fall's tropical storm flooding are bracing for a possible lashing from Hurricane Sandy.

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli and volunteers from his office were in Schoharie Saturday helping with the recovery. Volunteers worked on the Central Bridge home of Ken and Debbie Knutsen, who have been living in an emergency trailer for 10 months.

Knutsen tells WNYT TV  that he's really nervous about the potential threat of a new hurricane.

He says he and his wife will evacuate if they have to, using the same travel trailer they used during Irene last fall. But he's hoping Mother Nature doesn't wreak havoc with his part of the state again.
