LYONS, NY (AP) -- The Wayne County Sheriff's office says a 55-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle swerved off the road on a sharp curve and crashed.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the town of Lyons. Deputies say Bruce Patnaude of Lyons was going north on Maple Street when he went off the road.

The accident is still under investigation.
