SENECA FALLS (AP) -- A pump manufacturing company plans a $22 million expansion of its manufacturing and research operations in New York's Finger Lakes region, adding at least 50 jobs.
The Syracuse Post-Standard reports that ITT Corp. said Wednesday its Goulds Pumps division will build a 75,000-square-foot factory and expand the R&D laboratory at its campus in Seneca Falls.
White Plains-based ITT says that will increase its capacity to develop and make pumps used by the oil and gas industry.
The company currently employs 860 people at the site. About a third of the new jobs are expected to be in engineering.
ITT says New York's Empire State Development oversaw a package of public incentives for the project.
Construction is set to begin next spring, with completion by the end of the year.
