FLORIDA -- 22-year-old Michael Kriesel of Manlius died in a car crash in Florida on Sunday.
According to the Jacksonville Florida Times Union, Kriesel's car went off Interstate 95 and slammed into the concrete base of an overhead sign.
Family friends told The Post-Standard that Kriesel was on his way back to college at the time of the crash. He was a student at the Santa Fe College in Gainesville. Kriesel graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 2008.
Investigators say that Kriesel was wearing his seat belt and the investigation is ongoing.
Calling hours for Kriesel will be held on Thursday from 3-7 PM at Immaculate Conception Parish in Fayetteville.
A Facebook page has been set up in Kriesel's honor.
