LITTLE FALLS, NY -- State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Herkimer County.

It happened on State Route 5 in the Town of Little Falls. A passing driver called 9-1-1 dispatchers to report the crash around 6:45 a.m.

Police say 21-year-old Bo Baker, of Center Street in Fort Plain, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound on ST-5 when he lost control. His car flew off the south shoulder, slamming into a snow embankment and flipping over. The car's roof was partially submerged in a pond, which is next to the road.

The investigation continues.
