Syracuse University wants tax exemption for new construction

Syracuse University is looking to build a new complex on University Avenue to house a bookstore, fitness center, and retail space. The school is first asking Syracuse's Common Council to approve a controversial 30-year tax exemption on the bookstore and fitness center.
