High School Lacrosse playoffs kicked off Thursday   

Section III Athletics is officially in postseason mode. Some sports already kicked off the playoffs but for boys lacrosse, the Section III Tournament officially started on Thursday.

Chittenango senior Meg Arnold does it all. Not only is she one of the best golfers in the area, the anchor of the Chittenango team, if you will.

The spectacular season continues on for the Westhill squad as they prepare for the Class B state tournament.

David Poole is a senior linebacker at LaFayette this season and while the Lancers have improved each and every season since the football merger with Fabius-Pompey the senior leader is hoping to help lead the team to a sectional playoff win this year.

Year and year out Westhill baseball is among the top programs in New York State, in fact they won the state title in 2009 and 2010 and hopes for a championship this year could rest on the left arm of Alex Godzak.

CNY Central Athlete: Brendan Smith   

Smith is a Track and Cross Country runner at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse. His team needed help in the Steeple Chase event, an event that Smith had never done before. To say Smith rose to the challenge would be an understatement, he won a New York State Championship in the event.

CNY Central Athlete: Camilleri Leading the Lancers   

Athlete Elise Camilleri scored 4 goals in the game, leading the way, just as the senior has been since she was called up to varsity in the 8th grade.

The team captain organized workouts over the summer to get the Bulldogs ready to go once camp opened up.
