It was during the 1st round of the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs that former Syracuse Crunch Announcer Bob McGelligott proudly proclaimed "I've got two words for ya, SERIES OVER!"
That's true once again as the Crunch beat Springfield on Friday 5-2 and swept the Falcons out of the playoffs.

Mat Clark gave the Crunch a 2-1 lead just 41 seconds into the middle frame. Clark’s shot from the point bounced off multiple players in front of the net before trickling over the goal line. Two minutes later John Mitchell threw the puck on net and it was deflected past Pasquale for a 3-1 Crunch lead.
