Sargent, for the second year in a row, qualified for the New York State Cross-Country Meet. He did so by finishing 2nd at the Section III meet this fall, and he finished 18th among the best runners in the state at the tournament.

Smith is a Track and Cross Country runner at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse. His team needed help in the Steeple Chase event, an event that Smith had never done before. To say Smith rose to the challenge would be an understatement, he won a New York State Championship in the event.
