Barbara and Robert Rogers, who took Lopez in as their foster child back in 2001, were reflecting back this week on how far Lomong has come since he was a track star at Tully High School, and even since he fell short of an Olympic medal in the 15-hundred meters at the 2008 Olympics.

The opening week of the high school basketball team did show us a lot about what we can expect in the winter of 2011-2012, schools such as Jamesville-Dewitt and Henninger look to have the potential to repeat as Class A and Class AA champions respectively.
Some other classes though are showing, as usual, a lot of parity.
