BALDWINSVILLE -- Draft Day in the National Football League is a pretty special occasion for any college football player who anticipates being drafted, but for Baldwinsville native Jason Boltus the anticipation may have just a little more of a buzz for the former Bee quarterback.
Boltus played football for Hartwick College in Oneonta, and had to prove from the very beginning that he belonged in the NFL. He broke a number of records at the NFL combine, following a year where he was named top Division III college football player in the country. Boltus was honored with the Melberger Award ,which is D-III's version of the Heisman Trophy.
According to most who have worked with him he is a team player with very little ego, a guy who appreciates where he is in life. He's now projected as a sixth round pick in this weekend's NFL draft.
