CAZENOVIA -- A man accused of providing alcohol to minors plead not guilty in Vollage of Cazenovia court Wednesday night. Trevor Tormey, 22, plead not guilty to a charge of unlawfully dealing with a child. State Police say Tormey provided alcohol to minors.
Officers announced Tormey's arrest when they announced the conclusion of the investigation into the fire that killed Julia Parker in April. The cabin on DeRuyter Lake Parker and some of her friends were sleeping in burned down early one Sunday morning. Investigators say Parker's blood alcohol content was twice the level of a legally drunk driver when she died.
Tormey's lawyer says his client never gave alcohol to anyone who he believe was under the age of 21. He says Tormey never gave alcohol to Parker.
Tormey was released on his own recognizance.
