SYRACUSE -- You can’t get much for free these days but that’s not the case for Syracuse University students on Saturday.

All students with a valid SU ID will be allowed into the Dome free of charge for the Orange’s football game against the Cincinnati Bearcats. Saturday will be known as Fan Appreciation Day, a chance for the athletic department to thank the fans.

Some SU students say they think the promotion is a good idea.

SU freshman Chris Jones says, “It’s fifteen bucks you don’t have to spend, everyone’s pretty broke, but it definitely helps.”

Freshman Lang Evan says, “Something like this, where students have the opportunity to go to the game for free, maybe will bring more people to the game and bring a better attitude.”

The 5th ranked Bearcats will be the highest ranked opponent the Orange faces at home this season. The game will be nationally televised on ESPNU at noon on Saturday.
