SYRACUSE -- The WCNY studios featured a Who's Who of Syracuse University legends Friday afternoon.
They were all assisting with the 'Cuse Cares Telethon. Derrick Coleman, Billy Owens, Rafael Addison, Lawrence Moten and other SU greats took donations over the phone. Orange legend John Wallace said the extended Syracuse sports family was shocked by the devastation in Haiti and wanted to help.
John Wallace said "today is going to be a beautiful day. I think we're going to do a good job and we're going to take it over there ourselves and make sure it's used the right way."
Derrick Coleman says he hopes this will just be the first of many events that will reconnect former student athletes with the Syracuse community.
